Back to 1960/1 season

Alan Bracewell's First Programme (Oct.7th, 1960)

The first programme Alan presented was not on the members' card. It was a replacement for a programme by Keith Westall (Barnoldswick) which had to be cancelled. Alan is quite definite that this was his first programme, which makes the date given above probably correct for the following reasons:

1. No earlier programme by Alan can be found, but he appears regularly thereafter.
2. No earlier mention of a programme to be given by Keith Westall can be found.

It should be noted, however, that our records are incomplete for the three seasons prior to 1960/1, so we can't be absolutely certain.
