You're probably wondering about the title of this programme! What could an all-Haydn programme have to do with Napoleon? Susi kept us all wondering nearly until the end. Eventually we learned how, when the French army captured Vienna, Napoleon placed an armed guard on Haydn's house to protect the ageing composer from harm or harassment.
